Giving to the Lord

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:38 (NIV)

There is something special about giving, especially when we give to the Lord who has generously blessed us with all good gifts. God does not need our money but rather He desires our heartfelt worship and also wants us to enjoy a loving relationship with Him. But we discover that even in our human relationships, we express our love to our loved ones in so many ways, including lavishing them with gifts. In the same way, we can express our love to the Lord through financial giving and also by giving Him our gifts of time, talents, service and commitment.  The Lord Himself has already shown us the way of giving- by sacrificially giving to us His very best- His beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ who died and rose again from the dead so that we may have eternal life.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3 verse 16 (NIV)

No amount of money can ever purchase this gift of salvation freely given to us through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we can certainly express our love and gratitude to God by giving Him priority in all aspects of our lives, including our finances.  May God bless you as you give to the work of the Lord through your tithes, freewill offerings and other generous contributions always, “remembering the words the Lord Jesus Himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 10 verse 35 (NIV)

How can I give?

Collection Envelopes
There are collection envelopes available every Sunday and also during our mid-week service where you can place your tithes, offerings or other freewill contributions to the church. You can make your gift either by cash or cheque. Just tick the relevant box to indicate what you are giving and drop them in the collection baskets during the service.

Standing Order
Apart from the Sunday and mid-week collections, you may want to give a monthly amount directly from your bank account. It is entirely up to you to decide whether you want to do this and how much you want to give. Please note that you can stop or change this order at any time. Should you want to give this way, please download a form here and send it to us by post or drop it in a sealed envelope in the collection basket, when next you come in for any of our services.

Finally… the benefits of the Gift Aid

Are you a UK taxpayer, then the financial gifts or contributions you give to us can be increased by 25% for every £1 through the Gift Aid scheme for charities. If you are interested in increasing the value of your gifts to us, please download the gift aid form, fill it in and send it to us by post or hand it over in a sealed envelope when next you attend service. Again, you can cancel your gift aid at any time.
